Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

That’s a tough question! Some of our all time local faves are Redwood Regional Park in the E.Bay and Drake’s Bay out past Pt. Reyes. What are yours?

Welcome to Oasis Zero, where we welcome you to shift.
Shift, v. movement. transition. exchange. alteration.
Shift is happening. It is all around us; it is in us; it is us.
Everything is constantly shifting. As the sun directs the orbit of our planet, spring shifts to summer. The ground under our feet shifts as tectonic plates separate and collide. Political shifts change the physical and ideological borders of our communities and nations. Shifting economies highlight the unstable foundations of our modern civilization. Climate shift raises questions about the sustainability of our current mode of being. And each and every one of us is in perpetual shift as we interpret and navigate our experiences.
Within this eternal shift resides an enormous Opportunity.
We have the opportunity to contribute mindfully to this shift.
We have the opportunity (and we share the responsibility) to shift away from a culture of alienation and animosity and an over-producing industrial age, an age of exploitation of our planet’s resources, an era of overuse, excess, and waste. We have the opportunity to engage in honest and authentic communication with each other about our experiences and ourselves. We have the opportunity to listen deeply to each other. We have the opportunity to call upon the spirit of adventure and that will enable us to engender this shift.
Who we are
We are individuals, working together in a spirit of communion and interdependence, striving to utilize the tools available to us – knowledge, wisdom, insight, beauty – in an effort to shift the patterns of our behavior, our communication and our culture.
We hope that you will be ignited by the whimsical and wacky words, pulsating photography and alluring art, culinary curiosities, saucy stories, poems worth pondering, charismatic comics, and other tantalizing tid bits contained herein.
Where we’re going
Let’s shift toward hope, interconnectedness, dreaming, believing, generosity, and loving.
Toward building community, encouraging sustainability, supporting our neighbors, and cultivating the strength and wisdom to do-it-ourselves.
Toward making connections, exchanging ideas, telling stories, sharing aspirations, and listening openly.
Toward giving back to the earth, honoring animal and plant life, respecting ourselves and all human beings, and acknowledging those who have come before
With all people and all beings we shall be as relatives.
Join us
We welcome you to join us in making a shift.
So come! you dreamers and lovers, you seekers, discoverers, wanderers and un-coverers, you beekeepers and secret gardeners. Come you bread bakers, art makers, flower smellers and craft sellers. Join in the shift.
We invite you, the reader, contributor, passer-byer, to take this manifest. Savor it, question it, cry, laugh out loud in public, ponder, yell at it in a fit of rage, however you choose to react- just let yourself be moved. Let yourself… SHIFT.
How will you shift?
